Therapy is a process of exploring the psychological and emotional distress one experiences within a safe space. In this, we work on interventions aimed at regulating emotions & moods, coping with stressors, bringing about lifestyle changes, improving personal and professional relationships, and finding balance after significant life changes.
As trained psychotherapists, we also employ psychological evaluations as required, for both clinical or non clinical mental disorders.
Our sessions are held online, usually 60 minutes long and a frequency of one day a week is recommended. For more severe/acute issues twice a week may be considered. It may take about 6-8 sessions to understand the match and fall into a rhythm, but how long therapy continues depends entirely on each client - the nature and complexity of the issue/s, willingness of the client, and the depth of inner work.
Some of the methods of our work are
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a method of psychological intervention that aims to improve one’s mental health by examining and replacing unhelpful patterns of thinking. It focuses on improving emotion regulation and development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) This method of therapy combines cognitive behavioural strategies and practises such as mindfulness, presence and breath work to enable a person to better understand and manage distressing thoughts and emotions.
Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT) emphasises artistic experience as a tool for self discovery and self expression. It uses various arts - movement, drawing, painting, writing, music in a supportive setting to facilitate healing and growth. One does not need prior experience with any art form to benefit from EXAT.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence based psychotherapy that is useful in treating mood disorders, suicidal ideation and behaviour patterns such as self harm and substance use. It provides tools for regulating emotions, developing tolerance and coping with distress, improving effectiveness in relationships, and mindfulness.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps the person recognize ways in which their attempts to suppress, manage and control emotional experiences creates challenges. By recognizing and addressing these challenges, a person can become better able to live and behave in ways consistent with personal values.
Personal coaching is for individuals who are seeking to consciously understand their own patterns of thought and behaviours, and shift into more beneficial ones. Our coaching sessions are based on NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), GROW and mindfulness-based models of coaching.
Through coaching, one is able to:
Our sessions held online, 60 minutes long, and at a recommended frequency of once a week or 10 days. Coaching is completely client-centric, with client goals at the core of the process. 10-12 sessions of personal coaching is the recommended for effective and sustainable change to be visible.
We design and deliver curated workshops, offsites and retreats for groups and organizations in the areas of mental health and well being. Our workshops are on: mindfulness and wellbeing, mental health care, self exploration through arts, team bonding, and life visioning, among others.
Our facilitators are arts practitioners, with background in therapy, mindfulness and experiential learning. Our workshops and programs can be customized based on the needs and context of the group.
We also hold circles (online and offline) for individuals seeking to work on their well being and engage in inner work. Some of our workshops are Mixed Meditation Arts and women-specific circles.
